Police say a 15-year-old boy was arrested as a result of a 4-month-long investigation of “Peeping Tom” incidents in South Kohala.

From June through October, police received reports of a male teenager or young adult repeatedly peering into windows in Waikoloa Village.

Investigation led to the boy, police said. He was arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of fourth-degree sexual assault, which applies to “Peeping Tom” incidents.

After conferring with prosecutors, the teen was released to the custody of his parents pending further investigation. Police are continuing to investigate additional incidents.
